Race, Music and Memorial Day

To those who have an assumption on what ethnicity should listen to what, this is a video to help alienate that point of view on music.

This is Shennie, a Black American who has a strong predilection for Rock and Heavy Metal and this is a video to a racist response on her comment board and was enough for to make this video that made me frown more than a day in a cloudy dusk.

As a proud metalhead, I felt shocked that this is still happening to many people who struggle with Racial backgrounds and music, as if they have to associate with the music that is more intertwined with their Ethnic backgrounds. Might I remind you that on this day of remembrance for the men and women who died for our rights and freedom, such as the right to listen to what ever music that individual can choose from, we still have these double standards for music that seems to be a norm for Pop Culture and it has to end at some point. As much as I hate to say it, it is quite a disgrace to know that when a person who is into a form of music that isn’t considered a norm for their Ethnic Background is ridiculed for that when the First Amendment gives right to Freedom of Expression and this person is doing the one thing that many soldiers have voluntarily gave their lives for maintaining.

And so for this Memorial day, I am going to be grateful for all of my rights to Freedom of Expression by showing people this video on what tackles the issues of Race and Metal.

May all of you have a wonderful memorial day and may each and every soldier who has died on the name of our Country rest in peace and in our heart. And for all you Metalheads and non Metalheads who have been ridiculed for not associating with the racial stereotypes that scour through the world of music, remember to keep your head up high and know that the men and women of our U.S Military are devoting their lives to letting you be the songbird who’s song shall play different tune of a song never heard before.

Is Walmart that bad for America?

In the rush for money in this economy, continuing to decrease the value of the equity the dollar bill beholds, do we generally have a say in a company that is doing shady things even though they make up for it benefiting the economy? Yes, if you don’t care about making sure you survive on what you make by ends meet that is.

In the recent misfortune’s the company Wal-Mart has experienced, the first party supergiant is rebounding up by ensuring to the lower class that they can afford to put food on the table without having to question if they can make it to their next dinner. Because in an economy that loses its money value by government inflation, Wal-Mart is to cut food prices by $1 Billion dollars this year, giving the economy a needed boost of cash so the Middle and Lower Classes can afford that protein Milk gives you, which wouldn’t be accessible without that food price cut because last year alone, Milk prices increased by 5% because of the continuing need to print our way out of a recession. That doesn’t solve anything though, that makes the value of the currency decrease as the quantity of it increases; it only raises the prices of resources because of our mentality that the more money we have, the more people are going to demand.

Wal-Mart will help make sure that the Lower and Middle Class will not be crushed by this because of their new policy that states that they will be getting rid of some of the expensive private bands such as Peter Pan and I can’t believe it’s not butter for more productivity of the iconic Great Value brand Wal-Mart is known to distribute to not only increase financial quantities but also to make good quality food more accessible to the Lower and Middle Class. This helps reach both needs because not only does the Lower and Middle Classes bequeath satisfaction, it also helps accommodate to the distributor the increasing prices for Margarine and Peanut Butter because last year alone, the average prices for Margarine have increased by 13% while the average prices for Peanut Butter shot up to an appalling 37%. Can the average American afford paying for high quality products at unfair price increases like that when that average American can go buy the more affordable store brand when the customer think that it may not live up to the placebo effect it gives off when it comes to the quality?

In short, a complete yes especially when making sure that you are satisfied on what you consume, while surviving on whatever amount of money you have, should be your primary goal in this situation. For example, I have a friend who goes to Wal-Mart and when she does, she buys the Great Value brand of Kool-Aid whereas buying the actual brand Kool-Aid because not only did she save money while doing so, she basically bought an almost nutrient brand as the name brand yet it has a more of a flat taste to its flavor. Reason being behind that taste though is because that if Wal-Mart actually uses the same ingredients used on any of the name brand recipes, the name brands are able to sue Wal-Mart for copyright infringement. But getting to the point: Wal-Mart may not have the appealing conditions name brands have but in an economy that doesn’t leave much for you to financially choose from, it would be better to purchase a Great Value brand of that choosing than to pay extra for something that could be a benevolent bargain to you in this recession.

Why I am a Free-Thinker

Listen up, before you message me or begin patronizing me for this, at least hear me out before you go Billy Graham on my butt.

I realized that I was put on this Earth by God to question what’s unquestionable, to ask where can I dearly find the truth in this sea of hypocrisy and to break away from the chains of conformity to find the so-called absolute. It sounds like Blasphemy to many but you know what, God let’s me do that so long as I feel comfortable under his hands, questioning what is the right way to worship him for I quote in Proverbs “Go the distance, for the Lord shall be Thy confidence.”

Another thing, questioning if one practicing ideal will be able to progress with the Human Mind, which I feel that God gave us to become stronger and more flexible in believing in his name, is a great reason why the many Religion’s in the world are still going strong; look at Martin Luther who posted his 95 Theses, which started the Protestant Reformation, questioning if indulgences and the hierarchy of Catholicism is right under God’s name; thus, Religion’s grow stronger and bolder with Human thought and coexistence by asking how you can be a better person under your God and wondering how you can achieve that.

So to sum up, It will always be in my instinct to question what’s correct from incorrect and if I don’t question it and say “Oh it’s nothing at all,” I will be doubting myself and become dependably neurotic for something that becomes a thief to my mind, my heart and my soul.

To enumerate, if one isn’t able to see through the beauty of the dark, they will not be able to traverse through the glories of the light.

The reaction of Bi-Racial profiling in this Country

Political Correctness is destroying our country.

In the recent years that we have endured, we have been promised a racially egalitarian society where the color of a skin, the purpose of a prayer and the piety of a lifestyle meant no inferiority or requirement to being an American. A society where this country would ascend from the murky consequences of what the media considered it to be the “Bush Fallout” and return to the image of the Great American Melting Pot where lovely Lady Liberty would continue adding more to her book of recipes. A society where biased beliefs mean nothing to the progression of political thought and the coexistence of belief and reality would transcend to the auspicious aspects of the American Dream.

Yet with that American Dream came with a price; A price many people would be manipulated by Mr. Obama while he continues to warp the integrity of many pieties in this country, just for an extra dime in his $200,000 dollar salary. A price where many will realize that the “Bush Fallout” was considerately a forthcoming of something economically worse to come along with the strengthening of biased beliefs just to associate the general public into replacing the president in office.

What’s worse than that, with the continuing effects of Medicare and social mobility blending into the lower classes, this leads to the disruption of a fair voice lost in the bigotry of a racial stereotype.

A fine example: Trayvon Martin and his death.

This boy, who had not weapon to provoke harm with unless he wanted to provoke harm with a Bottle of Ice Tea and a Bag of Skittles, was caught in a stellar example of how this country has practically learned nothing from its Pilgrim roots and the strengthening of its Revolution to the distress within its incivil civility, only to successfully bloom during its Reconstruction.

We have come a long way from the days where the sun wouldn’t shine on Trayvon Martin or George Zimmerman but we still have a long way to go. Trayvon Martin’s death will never be forgotten in the continuing battle against Racial Profiling, along with the many unsung Trayvon Martin’s in this world; some who had more gruesome or grotesque  outcome than others, but what makes this one slightly different is that his killer is of mixed race.

As a bi-racial citizen of my country, I have a right to say that because of the strong political voice we have gained in the past forty years and more importantly the four years with Bi-Racial President Barrack Obama, we are more prone to being more corrupted in one person’s bigotry and also prone to getting more sympathy from the general public because of the fact that we are a prosperous example of the benevolence of the Loving v. Virginia case back in 1967.

It appears in this country, it is considered moral to not arrest a bi-racial citizen who kills a child a part of a larger demographic than to immorally arrest that citizen who openly admits he did kill that child. It appears that politicians are more afraid than racist to arrest a bi-racial citizen of a potential hate crime because of the thought of a more heinous scenario than letting that person walk away.

Now before I wrap this up, I have a question to ask you: How would you feel if you had adopted a child from a minority and you watch his life get taken from the hands of a smaller minority? You probably wouldn’t give a swear to God about the fact that the person is a Bi-Racial citizen; all you would care about is making sure that Justice is served beyond the barrier’s of Race. Sadly in some situations, that barrier will slap you in the face faster than you can call for Justice.

And with that slap of Political Correctness, the Great American Melting Pot’s taste now becomes bittersweet.

My views on Kony 2012

Now to many who have been wondering why I have this post on here, I have been doing research on the Invisible Children and what I found was not surprising to me what so ever.

The Invisible Children, who recently released the fastest growing social media campaign of all time, have been undergoing severe criticism prior to the release of this video and it’s not as pretty as how sugarcoated the campaign video is.

The Visible Children, a Tumblr blog dedicated to ensuring the legitimacy of the Invisible Children recently released this statement:

“Invisible Children has been condemned time and time again. As a registered not-for-profit, its finances are public. Last year, the organization spent $8,676,614. Only 32% went to direct services (page 6), with much of the rest going to staff salaries, travel and transport, and film production.”

Apparently, if you have a blog that’s out to prove you’re the real deal and you have it deceive your cause within a matter of days of releasing your groundbreaking video, you definitely should be questioning if you’re doing the right thing.

Now if I remember correctly, I said that if we don’t act now than Joesph Kony will take away our freedom of speech by us being unconcerned of the cause and I realized that all of this goes beyond our Human Rights. It goes beyond the intervention of The Lord’s Resistance Army because many Ugandan’s are not content of having their voices heard Seventeen years late.

If any of the People are concerned, Uganda now houses one of the largest Oil Reserves in Africa as well as the World, where it is home to 2.5 Billion barrels were discovered along Uganda’s border and is expected to bring to the economically deprived country a coffee mug dropping $2 Billion dollars in the year 2015; if they survive the coming corrupting consequences that has left many African Countries such as Angola and Nigeria is known as “The African Oil Curse.”

With that in mind, I will say what I think the big picture is:

You have a campaign from a Non-Profit Charity that is very untrustworthy by many supporters of its own cause to stop a Religious Nutcase who the United States has been trying to find years prior to its deployment yet you manipulate the general public of a more developed Country who has been fighting the cause longer than some popular propaganda released a couple of day faster than the United States could say: “Freedom!” All worth while of making sure that you satisfy the public with some uplifting comments without picking up some towels when the beans have been spilled?

That makes it no different to The 2008 Presidential Elections where the minorities favored Barrack Obama because of his ethnic background; look where that has lead us. We are $6 trillion dollars in debt going on $7 trillion dollars, using a Healthcare system where it breaks more Constitutional Laws than it does in its number of patients, printing more money than withholding more value as well as the coerced integrating of Contraceptions into a Majority Religion where it deteriorates the Separation of Church and State, guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, it’s no wonder causes like Kony 2012 and Presidential Elections bestow similarities because they have one thing that helps fuel misunderstandings:

They have people blinded by hypocritical optimism and blind patriotism to support something that will give them untold benefits and will do very little to bring benevolence to the future of the outcome the cause predicts.

Ironically there are two terms often affiliated to Soviet Leader Vladimir Lenin for these types of people. They are known as:

  1. 1. A Useless Idiot: A person who has no idea what their group’s motives are but they will remain persistent to the cause because of the benefits it proclaims to give.
  2. 2. A Useful Idiot: A person who has a thorough idea on what their group’s motives are(may it be good or bad) and will remain persistent to the cause because of the benefits it proclaims it will give.

Now think about this: When a person has associated emotionally to a cause, it will take more than a Bob Marley song to turn him away from that cause for good because they will believe so much that they are doing the right thing even though it seems shady to some people but in a nutshell, it’s alright because in order for the truth to spread to an neutral person’s mind, you need a Useless Idiot or a Useful Idiot to get told down by a person who has a better understanding of the shadiness of that cause without giving the impression that they’re a pompous asshole.

My Point is: Kony 2012 and the Invisible Children has all of these attributes to be an elaborate hoax however may you be any of those terms, it should be best you stop and have some common sense before you associate with any cause.

And on my views of this cause: I think people should think First Degree before getting too attached to something that gives people the impression of a double standard.
